Teacher Testimonial

"There are not a lot of truly free resources for educators. But Research Quest is one of them and it is amazing!"Rebecca Love , Woods Cross, Utah

Help Test a New Experience for a Classroom Favorite

We’ve launched a beta version of a redesigned layout for What dinosaur did these bones come from?—one of Research Quest’s most used investigations. This version builds on years of educator feedback and provides improved learning supports for students.

We’re inviting you to try it with your students between May 1–22 and share brief feedback on the experience.

Join a community of educators helping shape this next iteration—and receive a $25 gift card as a thank you. Interested? Sign up here and we will send you the testing links.

Teaching Tip

As the school year winds down, it can be tough to keep students engaged while maintaining meaningful learning. This month’s Teaching Tip explores how Research Quest can help you keep curiosity and critical thinking going strong through the final weeks. If you’re looking for fresh, low-prep ways to end the year with purpose, this tip is worth a look.

Memorable Moments

"Students began to have a friendly class debate on what they thought caused the dinosaurs bones to appear. It was super awesome to see them engaged & discussing when I hadn't even prompted it yet!"

Sarah Sweet, Sandy, Utah

Educator Advice

“When students navigate on their individual chromebooks, we watch the first few videos together and I model how to make observations of the first mystery fossil. Because our class periods are about 44 minutes, I have students stop once they determine the type of bone for mystery fossils 1, 2, and 3. On the second instructional day, we discuss species vs. types of dinosaur, and use some of the supplementary resources to look at the types of dinos found in the quarry.” Jessica North, Waunakee, Wisconsin
